Andreea Costantin started out as a model. However, her passion for fashion and style led her to become a stylist for the Glamour and Viva! magazines in Romania. Although the job gave her a vent for her creativity, she still felt she wanted to give a voice to her own unique flair and ideas so, in 2009, she decided to become a designer and set up the Rhea Costa brand. As she’d never studied fashion design before, this was a challenging new venture. But, despite this disadvantage, her natural talent immediately shone through, giving life to the most magnificent creations. Just like the great composers, Mozart and Bach, Andreea Constantin intuitively understood what she needed to do with the fabric to create unique pieces. She admits that she loves touching fabric and feeling its composition, trying out different combinations directly on the manikin, to create clothing that exalts the female silhouette. Attention to detail is the insignia of her brand. In fact, Andreea says that this is the element that really makes a difference: showing the world the obvious, without making it obvious. Every Rhea Costa creation is a celebration of women and their bodies; it’s a magnificent ode to femininity, which, in these clothes, is something that just has to be praised.
A splendid example of this can be seen in the dress I’m wearing, which speaks for itself. It’s like a beautiful poem that’s been written just for me.
