She’s called Vivetta Ponti, but everybody knows her as Vivetta – which is also the name of her fashion brand. Her career as a designer has developed very gradually, but she’s managed to create such a really personal and recognisable style that everyone has fallen madly in love with her designs. In fact, Giorgio Armani chose her for his 2016 Autumn/Winter fashion show at his catwalk theatre. Lately, she is often defined as an emerging designer, but in reality she has been working on her creations and collections for many years, promoting them online. In fact, it is thanks to Internet that she has been able to make enormous strides and her clothing is now well-known all over the world. She herself admits that her lucky break came when she started a blog, where she published everything she made, and from then onwards people have been queuing up her creations.
Her cat pockets and her hand-collars have now become a signature element that can be found in every collection. But Vivetta is even more amazing, because the designer loves to experiment with just about everything, from kissing swans to elaborately embroidered flowers – just like the ones on this skirt I’m wearing here. Inspired by nature (something she likes a lot), Vivetta Ponti’s clothes are a riot of colour and originality.
I really love Vivetta’s style because it always makes me feel unique, even when I’m wearing something really simple, like a plain white shirt.
